Decreasing the quantity of acidic waste and energy demand on water treatment chemical production by improving reactor design and filtering technology.
The goal of the current project is a technology that brings with it energy efficiency and a decrease int he amount of waste generated in manufacturing. The project has two goals: i ) the development of the manfacturing technology of an existing water treatment product (ferric chloride, Fe Cl 3) and i i ) the so-called low-energy production technology of polialuminum chloride.
The activities of the project include experimental development and procurement of machinery as well as project management and communication activities.
Ferric chloride: 8% decrease in waste production (s ludge) as the new technology enable chloric acid to „take up” more iron. That represents an annual decrease of cca. 79,5 t or EUR 5,440.
Decrease in energy used compared to industry practice could reach 30% which will be apparent in the production costs as energy used will represent 5% of production costs of product.
As a summary, we can see that as a result of the project the environmental burden will be s ignificantly decreased via the decrease of the amount of waste produced and energy used int he production of these two products.
