Info day relating to the open call for proposal of the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanisms 2014-2021 for the role of the Implementing Agency

The Prime Minister’s Office, as the National Focal Point of the EEA and Norway Grants organized an online information day for the potential applicants of the open call for proposals of the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanisms 2014-2021 for the role of the Implementing Agency on 3rd May 2021.

12 organisations registered for the online event in order to receive appropriate information in connection with the interpretation of professional, financial and administrative conditions set out in the application guideline and its annexes.

In the first part of the online information session, the National Contact Point provided a brief overview about the present status of the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanisms 2014-2021 and drew the applicants’ attention to the most important points of the call for proposals. After that, the questions and answers session had taken place.

The answers relating to the questions raised by the applicants will be uploaded to the official website soon.

THE JOINT COMMITTEE FOR BILATERAL FUND ESTABLISHED

One of the overall aims of the EEA and Norway Grants is to strengthen the bilateral cooperation for the sake of which the donor states and Hungary established the Joint Committee for Bilateral Fund on 19 February 2021. From the Hungarian side the Prime Minister’s Office as the National Focal Point manages the Committee with the participation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, whereas Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein are represented by their ambassadors.

The Committee reviewed the possible fields of cooperation and the further tasks at the first meeting. The Work Plan regarding the planned initiatives is currently being drafted on the basis of which several activities can be supported hopefully already in autumn 2021, primarily in the form of open calls where the beneficiaries could receive grants for their short- and long- term cooperation.

The Prime Minister’s Office, as the National Focal Point of the EEA and Norway Grants has been published a call for proposal on the selection of the Implementing Agency relating to the third period of the EEA and Norway Grants.

The deadline for submission of the applications is 14 May 2021 at 12:00 CET.

The applications will be evaluated after the submission deadline.
